Q. How does a customer journey help with converting more leads?

A. One of the main reasons that websites and sales funnels under perform is because they are created by web designers who make them look great, rather than sales experts who design them to convert. Having a well thought out and strategic customer journey means that you put conversion at the heart of everything you build. It means that you have clarity about the series of logical steps that you want to take your leads on to build trust, and get them to transact with you. When you have your customer journey map and you understand the steps to conversion, THEN you can work with a web designer. Doing it the other way around is expensive and will yield poor results.

Q. My website looks great, why do I need to map out my customer journey?

A. Most websites are inefficient at converting cold and even warm traffic. When it comes to having a clear and logical customer journey, websites are often overwhelming for visitors, with far too much choice and a lack of clarity about what they are supposed to do first. For that reason, most visitors will skim through a few pages, go on a journey of their choosing (not yours) and then leave. Frustratingly, they'll find a competitor who does a better job of just selling the first logical step.
